Welcome to Syracuse Green Housing
We are located in Syracuse, New York, and offer ecologically minded apartment rentals in the Syracuse University and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry housing district.
We have one, two and three bedroom apartments for rent. All apartments are available as one year long leases, and we sometimes have an apartment or an individual room open up during the middle of the school year or the summer.

Syracuse Green Housing specializes in providing environmentally conscious housing. Some of our practices include:
- Providing cleaner Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)
- An organic community garden, located at 109 Judson Street. The garden is open to non-tenants.
- Housing for tenants with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), fragrance allergies, and Environmental Illnesses
- Healthier paint: We paint our interiors with low-VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds), less toxic paints in soothing earth tones, and exteriors are renovated with high quality waterbased low-VOC paints.
- Edible and Natural Landscaping. All edible and natural landscaping landscaping is pesticide and herbicidefree, and we purchase local, edible berry bushes, fruit trees, herbs and vegetables for our landscaping.
- Hardwood floors and woodwork refinished with waterbased, low-VOC polyurethane and Safecoat Sealer
- Dedicated and free off street parking
- Free basement laundry
- We donate a small portion of our gross profits to charities and not-for-profits.
- We are dedicated to supporting community groups, local business, organic farmers, naturalist carpenters, wholesome painter s, hiring tenants in need of rent reductions, and basically just being good people and doing the right thing.
- The office is located in the corner of a one room cabin on a little mountaintop. Our cabin and office is off the grid, solar powered, low-VOC, made of recycled materials, heated by local and sustainably harvested wood, and extremely energy efficient.
